Air conditioning installation in Kyabram

Kyabram homes get the same Daikin systems and the same electricians we send around Echuca. We look over the house first, recommend what will suit it, then fit and wire it ourselves.

What we install

The right system for the size of the job

Choosing between these for a Kyabram home mostly comes down to room count and roof access. Tell us which rooms matter and we will point you to the right fit when we visit.

One room

Split systems

One wall unit paired to one outdoor unit. The usual answer for a living area, a main bedroom, a home office or a shed, and the quickest system to have running.

Two to five rooms

Multi split systems

Several indoor units off a single outdoor unit, each room set to its own temperature. Handy on a tight block, or in a renovation where running full ducting is not realistic.

Whole home

Ducted reverse cycle

The unit sits out of sight in the roof and all you see are the ceiling grilles and the controller. Zoned, so you only pay to heat or cool the rooms you are using.

Hydronic

Daikin Altherma

An air to water heat pump that runs underfloor loops, radiators or fan coils. Even, draught free warmth with no gas connection and no flame.

Air quality

Air purifiers

Daikin purifiers pair a HEPA filter with Streamer technology to break down pollen, mould and dust mite allergens. Worth a look if hay fever season on the river flats hits your house hard.

Existing systems

Service and repairs

Filter cleans, check overs and repairs, on systems we installed and systems we did not. We hold a refrigerant handling licence, so it is done properly in house.

Why Orr Electrical

One call covers the wiring and the air conditioner in Kyabram

Kyabram is south east of Echuca, beyond Tongala, and it falls inside the area we cover from our Hume Street base. From a bedroom wall unit to zoned ducting, one local team looks after the quote, the install and any follow up.

Because we hold electrical licences, a new circuit or a switchboard upgrade does not mean booking a second trade. The wiring, the mounting, the refrigerant work and the electrical safety certificate all come from us.

  • Every Kyabram quote follows a visit to the house
  • One reverse cycle unit heats through winter and cools through summer
  • New circuits and switchboard work done on the same job
  • Refrigerant work done by our licensed team, never sent out
  • A Victorian town, so we can access VEU rebates on eligible Kyabram upgrades

How it works

From the first phone call to a cool house

  1. We come and measure up

Room sizes, ceiling height, insulation, which way the windows face and what is on the switchboard now. A system that is too small never catches up in February, and one that is too big costs more to buy and never runs properly.

  2. You get a written quote

Free and with no obligation. It names the model and spells out what the installation includes. If a Victorian Energy Upgrades rebate applies to your property, it is shown on the quote before you decide.

  3. Our own crew installs it

Licensed electricians with refrigerant handling tickets and current working with children checks. No subcontractor you have never met, and any electrical work is done on the same visit.

  4. We test it and show you how it works

The system is commissioned and tested before we pack up, and someone walks you through the controller rather than leaving the manual on the bench. Same phone number when it is due for a service.

Where we work: Echuca, Moama, Rochester, Kyabram, Lockington, Cohuna, Gunbower, Deniliquin and the districts around them, both sides of the river.

Victorian Energy Upgrades

Government rebates on a new system

The Victorian Energy Upgrades program cuts the cost of swapping an old, inefficient system for an efficient one. We can check what your property qualifies for before you commit to anything.

Reverse cycle air conditioning
Replacing an old or inefficient split system or ducted unit with a high-efficiency reverse cycle system.
Heating and cooling replacement
Moving off ducted gas or an ageing unit onto something that costs less to run. Ask us to look at what you have now.

The program is a Victorian Government scheme, so it applies to Victorian properties only. If you are in Moama or elsewhere in NSW you are not eligible, but we can still quote the job.

Air conditioning installation questions, Kyabram

There is no flat price, because a bedroom split and a ducted system for a four bedroom house are very different jobs. Pipe run length, wall construction and the state of the switchboard all move the number. Once we have seen the house we put a free written quote in front of you, with the model and the scope of work listed.

One room is a split system. Two to five rooms without full ducting is usually a multi split, with several indoor units running off one outdoor unit. A whole house with good roof access is usually ducted, zoned so you only run the part of the house you are in. We work it out on site rather than guessing.

Yes. A reverse cycle system is a heater as well as a cooler, and it is one of the cheapest ways to heat a home with electricity because it moves heat rather than making it. Sized properly for the room, it handles a frosty Echuca morning without trouble.

Often, yes. Larger systems need a dedicated circuit and some older switchboards need upgrading before a new system can go on. We are licensed electricians as well as air conditioning installers, so that work is part of the same job, done by the same crew.

A standard back to back split system is usually done in a day. Multi splits and ducted systems take longer depending on the house, and we tell you how long to expect on the quote so you are not left guessing.

Yes. Swapping ducted gas heating or an ageing unit for an efficient reverse cycle system is a straightforward upgrade and one we are set up for. If the property is in Victoria, the Victorian Energy Upgrades program may reduce the cost, and we can access those rebates on eligible upgrades. The program does not apply to Moama or other New South Wales properties.

We do. Kyabram is inside our service area, south east of our Echuca office through Tongala, so booking a measure up there works the same as booking one in town. Kyabram is in Victoria, which means we can access Victorian Energy Upgrades rebates on eligible upgrades.

Yes. We service and repair systems put in by other installers as well as our own. A filter clean and a check over before summer is the cheapest service call you will ever make.
