About the program
Victorian Energy Upgrades is a Victorian Government program that makes energy efficient products cheaper to put in. The idea is simple: an efficient system costs less to run, so the government helps with the cost of switching.
For eligible upgrades the discount comes off the price of the job, so there is no separate claim for you to lodge and no waiting on money back. How much you save depends on the system, the property and what is being replaced, and it is shown on your quote before you decide.
Eligible upgrades
We carry out two kinds of VEU upgrade, both of them heating and cooling. If you are not sure which one fits, pick "not sure" when you check your eligibility and we will work it out with you.
Air conditioning
Replacing an old or inefficient split system or ducted unit with a high efficiency reverse cycle system. The new system has to meet the program’s efficiency rating, and we quote models that do.
Air conditioning installationHeating replacement
Moving off ducted gas heating, an old electric heater or an ageing unit onto a reverse cycle system that heats and cools for less. Tell us what you have now and we will check whether the switch qualifies.

Our own licensed crew installs and commissions the system, with any electrical work done on the same visit, and the discount comes off the job.

It is a Victorian Government program that reduces the cost of energy efficient upgrades for homes and businesses. For eligible heating and cooling upgrades, the discount comes off the price of the job rather than being claimed back later.
Victorian homes and businesses. Owners and renters can both qualify, though renters may need their landlord’s consent for some upgrades. What you qualify for also depends on the system and what it replaces, which is what we check before we quote.

No. The discount is taken off the price of the job, so you pay the lower amount up front and there is no separate claim for you to lodge.
No. VEU is a Victorian Government program, so properties in Moama and the rest of New South Wales are not eligible. We still install and quote heating and cooling on the NSW side, just without the VEU discount.
Often, yes. Renters can access VEU rebates, but you may need your landlord’s consent before the work goes ahead. Tick "I rent the property" in the form and we will talk you through it.
